🌧️ July 2025: Floods Strike Again in Pakistan
This July, monsoon rains brought destruction instead of relief. Several areas of Pakistan, including parts of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, were hit by intense flooding. Roads were washed away, houses submerged, and families forced to leave everything behind.
Over 50,000 people have been displaced, while crops, livestock, and infrastructure took a massive hit. Many towns faced power outages and shortages of clean water, turning survival into a daily struggle.
Despite efforts by rescue teams and local authorities, the damage exposed serious weaknesses in our drainage systems and disaster planning. The growing impact of climate change is making each monsoon season more dangerous than the last.
🛑 It’s time we stop reacting and start preparing.
Investing in better planning, stronger systems, and community awareness is the only way forward.
The floods will return—but will we be ready next time?
